Join us for three
half-days of training to learn the underpinnings of the brief directive
therapies that revolutionized treatment. Learn to bring about change in under
ten sessions even in the most serious cases using techniques proven effective.
Michigan Family Institute’s approach is a unique blending of Strategic,
Structural, Narrative, Solution-Focused and Hypnotic treatment methods brought
together by the faculty who jointly have over 40 years of experience treating
the toughest cases.
Intensive Live Supervision Externship Program
Ten Fridays Beginning January 14, 2005 (specific dates to be

On alternate Fridays
from January through May, join us for an intensive training experience in
Family Therapy.
· Learn, hands-on from
the authors of two books on brief therapy and numerous articles.
· Sit behind the one-way
mirror and serve as a treatment team as others in the group treat families from
the Institute or from their own caseloads.
· Treat families
yourself and be live supervised. Experience live-supervision which is renowned
for the depth of learning and ability to teach new skills that talking alone
can’t do.
· Participate in
seminars on special topics such as substance abuse, violence, teens, sexual
abuse, eating disorders, depression, marriage, divorce and much more.
· Discuss your cases and
plan strategies for creating rapid change.
· Receive
certificate of achievement upon successful completion.
Extern applicants must
submit a resume in addition to the tear-off attached to this form. Acceptance
will be certified within two weeks of receipt.
